Wine Review: This ruby colored Shiraz from Mollydooker opens with a mild smoked meat and black cherry bouquet with a hint of blackberry. On the palate, this is full bodied with plus acidity. The mouthfeel is round and savory. The flavor profile is an extracted blackberry and black licorice blend with notes of oak and black pepper. I also detected hints of black tea and black olive. The finish is dry, and its fruit flavors and moderate dusty tannins stick around for a very long time. This Shiraz is ideal for sipping. You might even have it with a cigar. Enjoy - Ken

Winemaker Notes: "Mollydooker" is old Aussie slang for a left-handed boxer and our Boxer always punches well above his Fruit Weight. Did you notice he has two left-handed gloves? Complex and expressive, the 2020 Boxer exudes vivacity whilst maintaining great length. Black cherries, fresh plum, rich dark chocolate, and licorice max out the flavor spectrum. Well measured tannins and slightly toasted oak compliment the rich fruit, creating a wine with many layers. This Boxer is truly a knockout!
