Wine Review: This dark ruby colored red blend is an absolute steal! It opens with a fragrant and very inviting strawberry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, very well balanced, and fruit forward. The flavor profile is a delicious blueberry with notes of red currant. I also detected hints of black pepper and plum that added to its intrigue. The finish is dry and its fine tannins drift away nicely. This wine is food friendly and the best bargain that I found at this year’s Boston Wine Expo. Buy a case and pair it with seasoned pork tenderloin. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: What I love about Grenache is the seductively inviting aromas of jammy strawberries, dry apricots, guava and cranberry with hint of dry rose petals and Herbs de Provence that make you smell the wine over and over again. The mouth feel is clean, fresh and lively without any heaviness with focused acidity and food friendly softness.
