Wine Review: I love Petite Sirah when done right. I love it even more when it is a 91 pointer and only costs $25. This almost pitch black gem opens with a pleasant black raspberry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, well balanced, and concentrated. The flavor profile is a ripe blackberry ad black currant with notes of anise, spice, and black pepper. The finish is quite dry and its dusty tannins are substantial and lengthy. Pair this beauty with a thick cut of prime rib. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: The quickest way to describe this wine is "dark and delicious"! Loads of blackberry, blueberry and dark cherries are enveloped in toasty oak aromas of cocoa powder, vanilla and a touch of graphite. On the mouth the wine is big, rich and extracted but with remarkably civilized tannins for this variety.
