Wine Review: This true yellow colored Chard opens with a spicy pear and green apple like bouquet. On the palate, this wine is full bodied and nicely balanced between its acidity and fruit. The texture is also creamy. The flavor profile is a tasty spicy pear with notes of green apple and lemon custard. There was also a touch of minerality and oak on the back palate that add to the wines complexity. The finish is dry and its tingly tannins linger nicely. This Chard would pair very nicely with lobster bisque. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: A decade after our Chardonnay put us on the map, the 2007 Napa Chardonnay is a tried-and-true classic and a testament to Gary Brookman’s fine winemaking skills. Malolactic fermentation in moderation keeps this Chardonnay sleek on the palate with remarkably fresh appley fruit and keenly placed acidity on the long, crisp finish.
