Wine Review: We have been impressed with the Miner portfolio over the last couple of months. This Merlot continues those thoughts. It opens with a mild black cherry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, nicely balanced, smooth, and shows nice finesse. The flavor profile is a mild oak influenced black cherry and mocha blend. The finish is dry and its moderate tingly tannins show some decent length. This Merlot is very food friendly and it would pair well with veal parmigianna or coq au vin. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: Napa's rugged eastern hills once again reveal an uncanny ability to produce full-throttle, age-worthy Merlot. With loads of rich blackberry, this wine opens up with earth and tobacco notes backed by sound acidity and well-distributed tannins. Decant and drink now or hold, as this Merlot shows great promise for future maturation.
