Wine Review: This dark ruby colored Cab opens with a pleasant plum and mild black currant bouquet with a touch of earthiness. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, smooth, and elegant. The flavor profile is a tasty mild red raspberry with notes of cedar and dusty black cherry. The finish is rather dry and its dusty tannins are moderate and quite lengthy. The panel suggested pairing this wine with aged Gruyere or prime rib. Enjoy – KWGTP.
Winemaker Notes: Hard to believe but it’s been ten vintages since the inauguaral release of Miner Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon back in 1996. The '06 release is something to celebrate...masses of ripe berry fruit with purity and finesse. A superb expression of Oakville hillside fruit. Barrel aged for 21 months in 60% new French oak, drink this beauty through 2020.
