Wine Review: This dark ruby colored Cabernet Sauvignon from Miner is very good and should evolve nicely with time. It opens with a cassis and wild cherry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, slightly acidic and quite juicy. The flavor profile is a cedar influenced red plum with notes red currant and strawberry licorice. The finish is dry and its fruit flavors and a touch of tannin shows up towards the end. I found this Cab improved on day two which shows great promise for its future. I would decant it initially and serve it with grilled steak tips. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: Emily’s is our eponymous offering in remembrance of Emily Miner, co-founder of Miner Family Winery. This blend is as expressive and elegant as our muse. We honor her by crafting a decadent and rich wine layered with aromas of black fruit and hints of mocha, espresso and toasted oak.
