Wine Review: This dark ruby colored wine from Italy is a unique blend of 40% Corvina, 40% Rebo & 20% Merlot. It opens with a ripe stewed plum bouquet that also includes some notes of black raspberry and cedar. The medium bodied palate is smooth, juicy and fruit forward with bright acidity. The flavor profile includes black raspberry, black cherry, oak and some hints of raisins and cranberries. The tannins are balanced, and the finish is dry and extends quite nicely. I would pair this Italian red blend with a cheddar bacon burger topped with sauteed mushrooms. - Joe
