Wine Review: This midnight purple colored Cabernet Sauvignon from the Alexander Valley opens with a mild black currant and oak bouquet. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, balanced and approachable. The flavor profile is black currant and cherry cordial with nicely integrated oak. I also detected hints of blueberry and cinnamon towards the end. The finish is dry and its bold tannins stick around for quite some time. I would pair this Cab with a thick Delmonico steak. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: The nose of this wine is all classic rich Cabernet Sauvignon. The flavor is Bing cherry and tangy juniper spice. The finish is of ripe cherry and dark chocolate. Try this wine with steak in a rich, earthy sauce or with a marinated try-tip. It would also be delightful with rich cheeses.
