Wine Review: This light gold colored Sparkling Wine from the Russian River opens with lots of small streaming bubbles. It features an interesting musty bouquet of honey and quince with hints of chamomile tea. On the palate, this wine is medium minus bodied with medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel balanced, soft, approachable, and creamy. The flavor profile is a citrus and bread dough blend with notes of Granny Smith apple, honeydew melon and chalky minerality. We also picked up some hints of banana and light minerality mixed in. The finish is dry, and its acidity and flavors subtly fade away. We would pair this fun sparkler with a Sunday brunch French toast or with a slice of lemon meringue pie. Ken & Dave
Winemaker Notes: This dazzling low-dosage Blanc de Blancs offers enticing aromas of green apple, citrus blossom, Meyer lemon, fresh-cut hay and brioche. On the palate it is vibrant and alluring, with a tantalizing mousse, bright acidity and elegant layers of peach, grapefruit, honeysuckle, and slivered almonds gliding to a long shimmering finish.
