Wine Review: This ruby colored Pinot Noir from the Sonoma Coast opens with a fragrant strawberry, thyme, and red currant bouquet with hints of cinnamon. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with medium plus acidity. The flavor profile is a loam and black raspberry blend with notes of cedar and black pepper. I also detected hints of blackberry and black tea. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity and mild tannins linger nicely. I would pair this Pinot with a roasted duck with a wild mushroom risotto. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: This classy and poised Pinot Noir displays an array of dark berry notes, including raspberry, blackberry, blueberry, and ripe cherry, along with a hint of baking spices. Balanced tension and refined tannins on the palate make the wine both elegant and effortlessly delicious, with subtle flavors of cedar and cassis lingering on the finish.
