Wine Review: This white gold colored Chardonnay from the Sonoma Coast is very good. It opens with a lemon and oak bouquet with a hint of pineapple. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced, round and smooth. The flavor profile is a tasty mild oak, butter, pear and almond blend. I also detected a hint of pineapple towards the end. The finish is dry and its flavors drift away nicely. This Chard is very food friendly. I would pair it with a lobster risotto. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: Both lush and graceful, this Chardonnay begins with layered aromas of apple, pear, graham cracker pie crust and sweet baking spices. The orchard fruit notes are echoed on the palate, where they mingle with hints of honey, vanilla and seamlessly integrated French oak. This Chard strikes a lovely balance between bright acidity and a supple flowing texture as it glides to a long, focused finish.
