Wine Review: This pitch black colored Petite Sirah based wines opens with opens with a blackberry and black licorice like bouquet with hints of blueberry. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, balanced and rich. The flavor profile is blackberry and blueberry blend with nicely integrated oak and minerality. I also detected hints of black licorice as well. The finish is dry and its moderate tannins are very sticky and linger for quite a while. This wine is a very good and a nice value. I would pair it with sharp cheddar cheese by the fireplace. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Like elephants whose size is imposing, Petite Petit is large! A blend of 85% Petite Sirah and 15% Petit Verdot. Offering a joyous explosion of color and fun, it is a substantial, dense, full-bodied, whopper style of wine loaded with pure black fruit and vanilla flavors that coat the palate. It reveals remarkable richness with a finish that is slightly dry and seems to linger.
