Wine Review: This dark ruby colored Zinfandel from Lodi was one of our top selections from our first big blind tasting. It opens with a fragrant boysenberry bouquet with hints of black cherry and licorice. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, rich and lush. The flavor profile is an extracted black currant with notes of black licorice and minerality. We also detected hints of RC Cola and blackberry. The finish is rather dry and its fruit and dusty tannins linger for quite a while. The panel suggested that this is a nice fireplace wine and would pair well with sharp cheddar cheese or Manchego cheese. Enjoy - KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: Lust is a deliciously smooth, showy, and seductive Zinfandel that lives up to its name. Velvety and full of jam, this wine shows lots of dark fruit with some savory qualities.
