Wine Review: This midnight purple colored Zinfandel from Michael David is a good value offering. It opens with a ripe blackberry and boysenberry like bouquet. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, balanced, and juicy. The flavor profile is a black raspberry and coffee blend with hints of oak, molasses, and raisin. The finish is dry and its flavors linger for a little while. I would pair this Zin with marinated steak tips. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: Fuller and richer with more texture and deeper fruit, it reveals hints of tapenade, new saddle leather, black cherries and black currants. It offers a lot of flavor for its price.
