Wine Review: This midnight purple colored wine from Lodi opens with a blueberry and blackberry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced, smooth and approachable. The flavor profile is a mineral infused blueberry with notes of oak and a hint of black cherry. The finish is rather dry and dusty with mild to moderate tannins. I would pair this Petite Sirah and Petit Verdot blend with a juicy Angus burger with some Great Hill blue cheese on top. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Our 2015 Petite Petit is a dense, inky, opaque wine bursting with ripe berry fruit and pastry aromas. Rich and weighty, Petite Sirah’s robust tannins are rounded out by the softer, lush mouth-feel of Petit Verdot. Flavors of summer blueberry, puffed pastry, black pepper and vanilla stretch out over a seductive, lengthy finish. Our winemaker loves to pair Petite Petit with a juicy prime rib!
