Wine Review: This medium purple colored Syrah from Meyer Family is Excellent! It opens with a fragrant boysenberry and plum bouquet with a hint of eucalyptus and black cherry. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, very nicely balanced, smooth and juicy. The flavor profile is a delicious blueberry and milk chocolate blend with notes of cola and black cherry. We also detected hints of cured meat and oak in the background. The finish is dry and its moderate tannins build-up and stick around for quite a while. This very impressive Syrah would pair with dry-aged ribeye. Enjoy – Ken and Dave
Winemaker Notes: Right out of the bottle, it displays complex and spicy aromas of wild berries, leather, and freshly cut violets. With aeration in the glass, more blue and black fruit emerges, balanced by Yorkville's signature acidity. Extended barrel age has added a layer of tannin that will help it age gracefully for many years into the future.
