Wine Review: This pale salmon colored Rose made from Syrah opens with a funky Maraschino cherry and wet granite bouquet with hints of honeycrisp apple. Be sure to swirl and aerate the wine so that the funk dissipates. On the palate, this wine is light plus bodied, delicate, soft and very silky. The flavor profile is a mild watermelon Jolly Rancher candy with notes of spice and mild Maraschino cherry. There is also some refined chalky minerality throughout. The finish is dry, refreshing and some nectarine pit flavors appear at the very end. This wine is very easy to drink, and a second glass will not be far behind. We would pair it with cantaloupe and prosciutto, or bacon wrapped scallops. Enjoy – Ken & Mark
Winemaker Notes: The 2019 Morningsong Vineyard Rosé of Syrah has bright notes of ruby red grapefruit, lemon peel and a touch of minerality. Its' light pink hue is a result of only two hours of skin contact before being pressed off. This wine is packed with complexity while remaining delicate and refined.
