Wine Review: This deep ruby colored Pinot Noir from Metzker opens with an attractive blueberry and plum bouquet with hints of kitchen spice and oak. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, nicely-balanced and round. The flavor profile features lots of black cherry and spiced plum along with notes of gentle oak. There are also hints of blueberry, cinnamon and faint earthy minerality mixed in. The finish is dry and its fine tannins and flavors drift away nicely. This Pinot Noir is very food friendly and would pair well with a wild pheasant in mushroom and wine sauce. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: The 2017 Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir opens with aromatics of cherry preserves, plum and a light hint of forest floor. Ruby in color, expressive on the nose and mouthwatering on the palate, this wine is a stunning food friendly Pinot Noir. The balance of fruit forwardness and acidity play well and create a lingering finish.
