Wine Review: This Cabernet Sauvignon from Mettler is a slightly hazy deep purple colored and features a blackberry, dark cherry, crushed gravel and vanilla bouquet with a hint of smoke. It has medium-plus body and medium-plus acidity and is very smooth, slightly jammy and fruit forward. There are flavors of dark cherry, dark plum and vanilla oak. There are firm tannins throughout and a long finish. I would pair this good value Cab with a plate of Italian meatballs. – Mark
Winemaker Notes: Our 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon shows off a deep garnet color. It opens with inviting aromas of dark cherry, toast, cedar and nutmeg. The delightful blend of dark cherry and plum flavors are fresh with a whisper of vanilla. A soft and velvety mid-palate features moderate tannins and just the right amount of lifted acidity and the long finish.
