Wine Review: This midnight purple colored Cabernet Sauvignon from Merus is Excellent! It opens with a macerated black cherry and iron ore bouquet with hints of black coffee, black plum, and violets. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, nicely balanced, smooth and velvety. The flavor profile is a delicious blend of black currant, graphite, and black cherry blend with notes of oak, black tea and baking spices. We also detected hints of black licorice and clove. The finish is dry and its tannins linger and drift away nicely. The Panel would drink this on its own. Enjoy – KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: Handmade "Coombsville" Cab in every sense of the word. Showcases notes of chocolate, blueberry pie, jammed red fruits, and black currant. It boasts a powerful upfront mouth feel with sweet oak barrel spices and a silky, rounded finish.
