Wine Review: This light yellow colored Chard opens with a fragrant Braeburn apple and light lemon like bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, well balanced, and shows harmonious acidity throughout. The flavor profile is a pleasant green apple with a touch of light pineapple. The finish is dry and has a refreshing aftertaste. This Chard is very food friendly and would pair well with chicken, broccoli, and ziti smothered in a thick white cream sauce. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: The 2007 vintage was one of the best in recent memory. Food friendly elegance and varietal nuance are the hallmarks of our 2007 Starmont Chardonnay. Bright notes of pear and crisp red apple are framed by spice, mineral, toast and vanilla bean. The wine is round on the palate with a long, easy finish. Our favorite food pairings include lemon and herb roasted chicken and sole meuniere.
