Wine Review: This dark ruby colored Merlot opens with a plum bouquet with hints of black raspberry. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced and juicy. The flavor profile is black raspberry jam with nicely integrated old oak with hints of boysenberry and black currant. The finish is rather dry and its building tannins are quite sticky and linger for quite a while. This wine will appeal to readers who like big fruity wines. I would pair it with a rack of barbecue ribs. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: Color: deep red with black hues Aroma: bright forward cherry and currant, toasty oak, caramel, clove, vanilla, and bay leaf Taste: focused entry leads to a round, fleshy mid-palate with moderate acidity. The wine displays great richness, while not being heavy. The finish is moderately long, accented by red fruit and barrel notes.
