Wine Review: This light yellow colored Chardonnay opens with a ripe Bartlett pear bouquet with a hint of cantaloupe. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, nicely balanced, creamy and smooth. The flavor profile is a very tasty ripe Bartlett pear with nicely integrated vanilla oak with hints of butterscotch and cantaloupe. The finish is dry, slightly crisp and lingers for a while. This wine is very food friendly and would be perfect with chicken cordon bleu with wild mushroom risotto. Enjoy - Ken

Winemaker Notes: Our 2009 Hyde Vineyard Chardonnay is a wine that blends power with elegance. The signature minerality and intensity of the Hyde Vineyard are showcased along with aromas of ripe pear, fig, almond, toasted hazelnut, pineapple, tangerine and candied guava. The mouthfeel is creamy and elegant with very good acid. This is a Chardonnay that will reward those with the patience to cellar it for a couple years before optimal drinking.
