Wine Review: This opaque and very dark ruby colored Cabernet opens with a fragrant black cherry bouquet with hints of vanilla oak. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced and juicy. The flavor profile is a tasty black cherry with notes of black plum and a hint of black currant. There is also just a touch of old oak mixed in as well. The finish is dry and its dusty tannins are sticky and slightly prolonged. This Cab is very food friendly and would make for a nice glass pour option. I would pair it with a grilled chicken sandwich. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Grown in top vineyards across the Napa Valley, Starmont Cabernet lots were hand selected for their rich and robust flavors and fine tannins. The wine exhibits aromas of cassis, brambly blackberry jam, perfumed violets and baked pastry notes. The mouthfeel is rich and broad with fine tannins leading to a very long finish.
