Wine Review: This slightly opaque dark ruby colored Merlot opens with a fragrant spicy black raspberry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced, and savory. The flavor profile is a very tasty black raspberry with notes of black currant and gentle oak. The finish is quite dry and its dusty tannins are very sticky and linger for quite a while. This Merlot would pair quite well with barbecue steak tips. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: This Merlot displays notes of plum, black cherry, bittersweet chocolate, vanilla and toasted oak. On the palate, the wine has a fruit forward entry with very fine tannins. The finish is complex and lingering. The wine will reward those with the patience to cellar it. Our favorite food pairings include Peking Duck or pasta with a rich tomato based sauce.
