Wine Review: This dark purple colored wine opens with a dried cranberry bouquet with a hint of red currant and old oak. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced, easy to drink, and fruit forward. The flavor profile is a ripe plum with notes of rhubarb and integrated oak. There is a touch of anise and a dash of black pepper as well. The finish is very dry and its surprisingly big tannins stick around for quite a while. I would pair this juicy Cab with a thick of cut of prime rib. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: Grown in top vineyards across the Napa Valley, Starmont Cabernet lots were hand selected for their rich and robust flavors and fine tannins. Voluptuous aromas of cassis, black cherry, vanilla bean and cedar leap out of the glass. Our favorite pairings include roasted meats or a Kobe Beef Burger.
