Wine Review: Wow! This may be the best Sauvignon Blanc that I have covered in years. I was not alone with this thought. There were several tasters that agreed! It is a light yellow colored wine that opens with a traditional Sauvignon Blanc bouquet of mild grapefruit with a hint of lime. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, very well balanced, and creamy. The flavor profile is a delicious complex blend of light lime and mild green melon with a touch of oak and mild grapefruit. It finishes dry, yet it is mouthwatering. It would pair perfectly with Legal’s halibut stuffed with imperial crab meat. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: This wine allures the senses with an appealing aroma that is both sophisticated and complex. Tempting layers unfold as rich honey dew melon, fragrant lemon blossom and a hint of tropical lychee fruit. A suggestion of dried wildflowers and ripe guava adds more charming elements. The inherent mouthwatering character of the Musque clone has been enhanced by our dedicated program of intense batônnage. One hundred percent barrel fermented in French oak, eighteen percent new, this compelling Sauvignon Blanc shows a generous richness on the palate unusual for the varietal.
