Wine Review: This ruby colored Pinot Noir from Merry Edwards opens with a cola, dark chocolate, blueberry, and black raspberry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, balanced, smooth, juicy, and maybe a bit lush. The flavor profile is similar to the nose. It features cola, black cherry, and stony mineral flavors with notes of stewed black plum, rhubarb, and oak. I also detected some hints of cardamom and caraway in the aftertaste. The finish is dry, and its flavors and velvety tannins are nicely prolonged. I would pair this tasty Pinot with a five-spice duck breast with blackberries. Enjoy – KWGTP
