Wine Review: This translucent medium ruby colored Pinot Noir opens with a red raspberry and oak bouquet with hints of black cherry, dark chocolate, and violets. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied with medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round, bold, and savory. The flavor profile is a cranberry and pomegranate blend with notes of oolong tea, black cherry, black pepper, and smoky oak. We also picked up some hints of graphite as well. The finish is dry, and its moderate dusty tannins linger and last for a while. The Tasting Panel would pair this rustic styled Pinot with grilled Norwegian salmon or with hunter’s stew. Enjoy – KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: The lovely ruby red color hints at the lush character of this wine. The nose begins on a savory, earthy note, with touches of mushroom, mineral, clay, and forest floor. The entry is big and plush, with powerful tannins that support flavors of black cherries and black plums intertwined with espresso and notes of well-toasted oak. The fruit driven finish is long and lingering. The savory nature of our Bucher Pinot Noir is a perfect match for our bison sliders.
