Wine Review: This dark ruby colored Pinot Noir from the Klopp Ranch opens with a fragrant black raspberry bouquet with hints of Good n' Plenty and cola. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, slightly acidic and savory. The flavor profile is a mineral infused red plum with notes of light oak and black cherry. We also detected hints of black pepper, herbs de Provence and black licorice. The finish is dry and its flavors and mild dusty tannins drift away nicely. The Panel suggested pairing this Pinot with a filet mignon or a pork tenderloin with a raspberry balsamic glaze. Enjoy - KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: The approachable and inviting 2018 vintage perfectly illustrates the character of this wine. The first aromas flowing from a glass of this Klopp Pinot include raspberries, Kir liqueur, macerated cherries, cola and licorice. There are floral notes along with plum, baking spices and cinnamon. The palate shows a focused entry, benefiting from sweet oak, cherry cordial and a touch of caramel. Refreshing acidity marries ripe, lush tannins for a sustained finish.
