Wine Review: This dark ruby colored Pinot Noir opens with mild pomegranate and plum bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced and savory. The flavor profile a tasty red plum and pomegranate blend with hints of craisin and wild strawberry. The finish is dry and its flavors drift away nicely. This Pinot is very food friendly. I would pair it with a lamb chops. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: The bouquet of this wine uncovers memories of ripening blackberry fields, berry compote and warm plum. The complexity of frothed and aromatic Mexican chocolate, with its cinnamon, nutmeg, rich cocoa butter and nutty flavor is found here also. Wood-grilled meat, mushrooms and other earthy notes accompany the sweet, toasty and supportive oak. Smooth and round on the entry, the palate is powerful yet supple, imparting an impression of thickness. Tannins build tension across the body in line with a balanced acid profile. Polished and firm on the finish, this wine has many years to unfold.
