Wine Review: This light yellow colored Chardonnay from the Russian River is Excellent! It opens with an attractive oak, crème brulee and pear bouquet. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, nicely balanced, and rich. The flavor profile is a delicious caramel and pear blend with nicely integrated oak. I also detected a hint of orange and toffee. The finish is dry and its flavors stay around for a little while. This Chard would be perfect with Chicken St. Timothy. Open a bottle and share with friends that you really like a lot. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: The beautiful straw gold color of this Chardonnay portends its deeply complex nature. Its mouthwatering aroma is lush with sun-ripened Gravenstein apples, honeyed apricots and creme brulee. Subtle hints of toasted spicy oak, sweet nutmeg and caramel complete its rich profile. In the mouth, this wine is elegant and regal, showing good acidity, structure and the fine balance characteristic of Russian River Valley.
