Wine Review: This classic Sauvignon Blanc from Merry Edwards is very pale yellow colored and opens with a faint pear bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, nicely balanced, and smooth. The flavor profile is a tasty mild lime with a hint of vanilla oak and green apple. The finish is dry and very enjoyable. This Sauvignon Blanc is very food friendly and would pair well with halibut or pork tenderloin with spinach and pine nuts. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: The experience of tasting this luscious Sauvignon Blanc begins with a complex, mouthwatering aroma of golden delicious and honey crisp apples accented with creme brulee and sweet Meyer lemon. Sophisticated mineral notes appear as the wine opens. An underlayment of lychee fruit, ripe pineapple and white peach then follows. The rich palate is finely tuned, with an excellent, refreshing balance. If possible, allow some of this vintage to age in your cellar ― patience will bring ample reward.
