Wine Review: This Cab from Peter Merriam is one of his best yet. This very very dark purple colored wine opens with a spicy blueberry like bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, very well balanced, and smooth. The flavor profile is a delicious blueberry with a touch of spicy black pepper. The finish is rather dry and its noticeable tannins are substantial and stick around for quite sometime. This Cab was made to pair perfectly with a NY strip steak off the grill. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Rich, dark purple color. Cassis, coffee and mocha, a hint of raspberry with bing cherry on the nose. Dry, rich and balanced fruit with notes of blackberry and cherry. 100% French oak adds to a complex finish of cedar and smoke. Unfined and unfiltered.
