Wine Review: This ruby colored Pinot Noir from Merriam opens with a stewed black plum and black raspberry bouquet with hints of light loam and dried herbs. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, smooth, and savory. The flavor profile features a fruit forward blend of mild black currant and black raspberry with notes of red plum and green tea. I also detected hints of craisin and cinnamon. The finish is dry and its flavors, acidity, and mild tannins. I would pair this crowd-pleasing Pinot with a baked salmon with a blackberry glaze. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: Bringing together a selection of our Diana's Estate and Eastside Estate vineyards balances the profile of this light and silky Pinot Noir. Notes of red cherry, spice, and cooked rose on the nose. Perfect for any occasion to enjoy red wine on its own or with light meats and cheeses for charcuterie.
