Wine Review: This deep golden yellow colored Chardonnay from Merriam opens with a fragrant oak and poached pear bouquet with hints of pine needles and faint butterscotch. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with integrated medium acidity. The mouthfeel is very nicely balanced, silky, and fresh. The flavors profile is a gentle lemon tea and almond blend with notes of light pineapple. I also detected hints of Honeydew melon and Anjou pear. The finish is dry and nicely refreshing for a Chard. I would pair this very good Chard with a chicken francese. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: This wine embodies the classic style of Chardonnay, enhanced with a bold, immersive flavor profile. Notes of butterscotch and creamy mascarpone emerge on the nose and persist through the palate, culminating in a long, luxurious finish. Each sip reveals the wine's potential to evolve, showcasing its elegance and sophistication. A Chardonnay that rivals the finest traditional offerings from France.
