Wine Review: This opaque and purple colored Merlot from Merriam opens with a blueberry and red cherry bouquet with hints of cinnamon, eucalyptus, and red plum. On the palate, this wine medium plus bodied with integrated medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round, fresh, and juicy. The flavor profile is stewed black plum and clove blend with notes of black pepper and black cherry. We also detected hints of black coffee, tobacco, and oak. The finish is dry, and its dusty tannins linger for quite some time. The Tasting Panel would pair this Merlot with Butcher Boy grilled steak tips. Enjoy – KWGTP
