Wine Review: This midnight purple colored Cabernet Sauvignon based blend from Merriam Vineyards opens with a black currant and red cherry bouquet with hints of cedar. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with integrated medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is nicely balanced and round. The flavor profile is black currant and stone dust blend with notes of black cherry and mulberry. We also detected hints of gentle tea. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity and managed dusty tannins build-up and stick around for quite a while. The Tasting Panel would pair this red blend with a king cut prime rib. Enjoy - KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: Powerful aromas of black cherry, black licorice, black currant, with hints of fresh cedar and rose welcome you on the nose. Deeply colored and luxuriously textured, this full-bodied wine has an elegant structure and will only get better with age. Intense flavors of sour cherry linger on the palate.
