Wine Review: This dark red colored Cabernet Sauvignon based blend from Merriam opens black cherry and moist pipe tobacco bouquet with hints of cedar plank, muddled mint, and raspberry. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with medium acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round and a little tight. The flavor profile is red plum, graphite, and cedar blend with notes of mint and vanilla cola. We also detected a hint of Chai tea. The finish is dry, and its moderate dusty tannins and flavors linger last for a while. The Tasting Panel would pair this Cab blend with venison and marinated hanger steak. Enjoy – KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: A deep purple and ruby Bordeaux Blend that matches its visual aesthetic on the nose, with fruit forward notes of lush mixed black and red berries and candied violets. On the palate, this full- bodied red, marries structured tannins with notes of blackberry brambles, graphite, and touches of walnut and dark chocolate.
