Wine Review: This opaque and deep purple Cabernet Sauvignon from Merriam opens with a blackberry bouquet with hints of ripe plum and spiced rum. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied, slightly acidic, robust and juicy. The flavor profile is black cherry and oak blend with notes of mild graphite and black tea. We also detected some hints of blackberry and clove. The finish is rather dry and its tingly acidity and managed sticky tannins linger nicely. This Cab would pair nicely with grilled steak fajitas or pot roast. Enjoy – KWGTP

Winemaker Notes: Deep dark magenta purple with notes of cassis, blackberry, mocha and clove. Nicely layered with concentrated flavors of cherry, cassis, blackberry, plum, spice, tobacco, and chocolate. While very pleasing upon release, this fantastically vibrant and concentrated wine promises to richly reward after a few years of aging because of the superlative quality of the fruit and underlying tannins.
