Wine Review: This ruby colored Pinot Noir from Merriam Vineyards opens with a Dr. Pepper like bouquet with hints of black raspberry and cinnamon. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, nicely balanced, and smooth. The flavor profile is a tasty cola with notes of gentle plum with hints of mild old oak and red beet. The finish is dry and its flavors linger nicely. It was quite popular at our mini-tasting and at the Boston Wine Expo. It would pair well with a rosemary seasoned pork tenderloin. (Available via the wine club or at the winery only) Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: In the glass, brilliant light red hues, aromatic of raspberry, bing cherry, ripe fig and red berry fruit. This is medium bodied with light acidity, soft tannins with flavors of bing cherry, strawberry and red fruit berries. Unfiltered and unfined. Enjoy!!!
