Wine Review: This opaque and onyx colored wine is the best Miktos ever. It opens with a mild blackberry bouquet with hints of plum. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, nicely balanced and smooth. The flavor profile is a gentle blackberry with notes of black licorice and old oak. I also detected hints of minerality and black pepper. The finish is quite dry and its very dusty tannins last for a very very long time. This terrific red blend is going to be loved by petit verdot fans. It would pair well with a thick cowboy ribeye. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: A rich blend reveals a dense, dark ruby red color. Rich aromas of tobacco, mocha, red berries with hints of violet and light pencil shavings. On the palate, velvety yet powerful deep red/black berries, cassis, and cherry. A finish of rip black fruit, reduced balsamic with hints of cigar and cedar.
