Wine Review: This slightly cloudy and dark ruby colored Pinot Noir from Merriam opens with a mild black cherry pie bouquet with hints of cola and cinnamon. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with integrated medium acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round, and very approachable. The flavor profile is a tasty black cherry and gentle loam blend with notes of stone dust and red plum. I also detected hints of oak and light tobacco. The finish is dry and its fine tannins drift away nicely. I would pair this Pinot with your favorite carnitas dish. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: A bright red Pinot Noir reveals tropical notes of ripe peaches and strawberry daiquiri, which gradually evolve into savory sensations of stewed cherries and red paprika. The Eastside Estate Pinot Noir features a silky texture and is perfectly poised to be uncorked tonight, ideal for pairing with a pasta dinner featuring a rich red sauce.
