Wine Review: This very light white gold colored Sauvignon Blanc from Merriam opens with a pleasant gooseberry and mild yellow grapefruit bouquet with a hint of lime. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, pleasantly acidic and mouthwatering. The flavor profile is a very tasty gooseberry and nectarine pit blend with notes of flinty minerality and gentle ripe grapefruit with a hint of lime zest. The finish is dry and its flavors drift away nicely. This very nice Sauvignon Blanc would pair nicely with Emeril's crab cakes. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Old World in style this light bodied Sauvignon Blanc offers a well-balanced blend of bright fruit and herbaceous notes. Strong tropical aromatics of guava and passion fruit. Crisp and refreshing flavors of lemongrass graduate to a mineral driven mid and back palate.
