Wine Review: This very dark ruby colored blend from Merriam opens with notes of black cherry and dark chocolate along with hints of boysenberry. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with medium acidity. The mouthfeel is round and a savory. The flavor profile is a juicy black cherry and graphite blend with notes of dark chocolate, red raspberry, and oak. I also detected hints of stewed black plum and black tea in the aftertaste. The finish is dry, and its dusty tannins linger and last for a very long time. This wine benefits from aeration and the longer it is open, the better it gets. I would decant it for 30 minute and then pair it with a Tuscan veal chop. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: Our "Right Bank" inspired Bordeaux Blend is vinified with five French varietals with an emphasis on the symbiotic relationship of Merlot and Cabernet Franc. This medium-bodied wine marries fruit-forward acidity by way of fresh red fruits on the nose, followed by soft earthy notes on the palate.
