Wine Review: This medium purple colored Malbec from Merriam opens with a black raspberry and black currant with hints of orange peel and pencil shavings. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, slightly acidic, smooth and juicy. The flavor profile is red plum, boysenberry and tart cherry with hints of gentle minerality and a twist of orange. The finish is dry and its mild tannins and flavors fade away nicely. The Panel would pair this Malbec with a Great Road Kitchen's cast iron skillet ½ chicken with sautéed broccolini or sausage stuffed mushrooms. Enjoy – KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: A bouquet of flowers, black currants, and licorice on the nose. This light to medium-bodied wine shows well-balanced acidity and texture with dark fruity bumbleberry notes and a smooth chocolatey finish.
