Wine Review: This bright red colored Pinot Noir from Merriam opens with a vanilla cola and mild strawberry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, slightly acidic and juicy. The flavor profile is a ripe strawberry with notes of vanilla cola and gentle oak. I also detected a hint of black raspberry towards the end. The finish is dry and its flavors fade away nicely. This Pinot is food friendly and would pair well with Oregon style pork chops with Pinot Noir and cranberries, and wild mushrooms. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: In the glass, bright light red hues, darker to the edge, aromatic with scent of rose petal, cola and white mushroom. Medium weight on the palate with notes of cherry cola, fresh cherry pie and light spice. Long and luscious finish. Five barrels produced. Enjoy!!!
