Wine Review: This opaque and dark ruby colored Cabernet from Merriam is terrific and a great value. It opens with an inviting black cherry and dark chocolate bouquet with a hint of strawberry. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, nicely balanced, and smooth. The flavor profile is very tasty black cherry with notes of gentle oak and blueberry. I also detected a hint of black pepper and currant. This finish is dry and its building moderate tannins stick around for a while. Mark and I thought this very nice Cab would pair well with a New York strip steak. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Bright red in color with notes of vanilla, blackberry and cherry on the nose. Rich and robust on the palate, soft tannins with essence of chocolate, cassis and red berry all accompanied by a bit of light acidity. This wine will hold for years. Enjoy!
