Wine Review: This Chardonnay opens with a very fragrant tropical fruit like bouquet with cantaloupe and Bartlett pear peaking thru the most. Peter told me that it was made using 80% neutral oak barrels with the rest in stainless to allow the fruit to shine through. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced, and slightly viscous. The flavor profile is a tasty and approachable mild apple with hints of pear and Juicy Fruit gum. The finish is dry and pleasant. I felt this wine would pair well with chicken piccata. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: Light straw in color, with crisp stone fruit, floral notes of peach, pear and apricot on the nose. Thick and viscous mouth-feel with topical fruit of ripe banana, mango and kiwi.
